The Dublin Chinese New Year Festival has extended the deadline for our call for short films, for next year’s Film Festival.
Open Emotion Studios are looking for experienced art staff for an upcoming venture alongside a large scale Swedish AAA publisher. We are looking for two artists/animators for full time positions (Rate of Pay between 350 and 500 euros per week depending on position – Hours flexible) to work on an upcoming title for one to three years with the potential to stay on as permanent staff.
One artist/animator is required for a lead position and will be expected to find the necessary art direction for the game which will require fantasy illustrations with contemporary and classical religious overtones. The other artist will be required to work alongside our current art team in a general art position and may be required to do some illustration, animation, 3D modelling and UI design.
This is an exciting opportunity to break into the video game industry in Ireland and work with some very talented people on a large scale project.

JAM Media are currently looking for experienced compositors for a new animated television series ‘Tilly and Friends.’ Compositors are the final stage of the animation production pipeline where all of a shot’s various elements are manipulated and combined to form the final image the audience experiences on screen.
Responsibilities:
*Building and Prepping compositions in Flash CS5 and After Effects CS5
*Compositing animation scenes and background elements in After Effects
*Understanding the application of effects and creation of pre-sets on previously created material.
*Basic camera skills in a 2D and 2.5D environment
Required Skills:
* Minimum 1-2 years of compositing experience in animation.
* Must have experience with tools such as; Flash and After Effects

The intern will gain practical experience in post production management and animated tv series production. The Intern will receive formal/informal training in the following programmes, Photoshop, Final Cut and After Effects. On completion the intern will have attained skills in Animation Post Production techniques and scheduling including: Preparing Storyboards for Animatic Edits, scanning, digital processing and revising of storyboards in Adobe Photoshop; Preparing video files for Edit, batch-processing files; Preparing Animation Scenes for Composite; Compositing in Adobe After Effects; Organising Edits for viewing, Monitoring and reporting to their Supervisors on the working status of pre and post production through tracking spreadsheets.
The role of the Post-Production Assistant will be to work closely with the Post Production Supervisor, Project Manager and Compositor on a day-to-day basis in pre and post production of an animated TV series.
This is an Internship. An allowance of €50 per week will be paid in addition to your current Social Welfare payment.See eligibility criteria above.
