Portfolio Night, the world’s largest simultaneous advertising portfolio review event returns to Dublin on May 26th hosted by Ogilvy.

Portfolio Night, the world’s largest simultaneous advertising portfolio review event returns to Dublin on
May 26th hosted by Ogilvy.

Since its inception in 2003, Portfolio Night has brought together thousands of aspiring young creatives from
every corner of the globe, to meet with a host of the industry’s leading Creative Directors.

Devised by Toronto-based ihaveanidea.org, advertising’s intellectual archive, the event sees thousands
of aspiring young advertising copywriters, art directors and designers meet with the industry’s renowned
advertising creative directors in a fast-paced evening of advice, networking and recruitment. The event is
designed to help students and aspiring young creatives around the world break into the advertising industry
and to showcase the next generation of creative talent.

For creative directors, Portfolio Night is not just about offering advice or a job to an outstanding student
- it’s about joining with their peers across the planet to give back to their industry and to ensure the next
generation of talent has an excellent introduction to the industry.

Portfolio Night is the largest simultaneous advertising portfolio review in the world and is designed to inspire
and support the next generation of creative talent. In 2010, over 39 cities across the globe participated in
Portfolio Night where over 1000 world-class creative directors showed up to carry out one-on-one reviews
with over 4000 aspiring young creatives — all on the same day.

Following the success of last year’s event, Ogilvy Group Ireland is delighted to host this event in Dublin
on the 26th May 2011 in its offices located at 6 Ely Place, Dublin 2. Ogilvy is one of the leading creative
communications agencies in Dublin, and part of one of the largest advertising agency networks in the World.

In a setting similar to ‘speed-dating,’ each participant will receive three 15-minute portfolio review sessions
with three Creative Directors, who will offer them advice and their opinions on improving their portfolios. The
evening will also provide useful networking opportunities in break-out sessions organised on the night.

Approximately 60 aspiring young creatives will be given the opportunity to show their portfolio to a panel of
20 Creative Directors.

“ihaveanidea is pleased to have Ogilvy as the Portfolio Night 9 Host in Dublin for the second consecutive year.
Portfolio Night Hosts are integral in bringing this monumental industry event to their city. They are the local
partners in charge of the colossal task of making this event happen each year and are the centre of Portfolio
Night in their city. Without them on the ground, spearheading Portfolio Night in their city, we really couldn’t
make this event happen” says Ignacio Oreamuno, president, ihaveanidea.
