Living with Alcohol wins BAFTA

Living With alcohol – A half hour documentary for CBBC’s Newsround, television’s only daily news programme made for children, has won a BAFTA last week for the Factual category.

Flickerpix produced specially commissioned animation and title sequences for this documentary, broadcast in July on CBBC.

The programme focuses on the issue of alcohol and tells the story of three children whose lives have been affected by their parents’ relationship with drink.
Flickerpix’ work on ‘Living with Alcohol’ was essential to the atmosphere of the film.

Previous Newsround specials, which have covered difficult subjects in an accessible and helpful way, include recent reports on internet safety, bullying and bereavement.

Living With Alcohol was presented by Children’s TV presenter Barney Harwood who will also host the children’s BAFTA section on 28th of November.

Flickerpix is presently working on two other CBBC programmes; Project Parent, and How To Escape The belly Of A Whale.
